Almost every week I meet someone who tells me that they have always wanted to work from home but don't know where to start. Excellent question! Where do you start? In order to determine where to start, you have to know where you want to go. I will be writing more regarding this topic in future posts.

In these tough economic times businesses have to watch carefully their overhead and costs. Working form home is a great way to save money, gas, time and families! Unfortunately, because almost everyone wants (or thinks they want -- we'll talk about that in future posts...) to work from home, this area is the playground of schemes and unethical practices. There is so much junk out there that many think it is not possible to do. The good news is that it IS possible to work from home. But the key operative word here is WORK. Building and running a business online requires the same principles and work ethics as an offline business does. But it has many benefits... some of my favorites are freedom, flexibility, productivity, lower costs, no office rent, etc...

One of the best, if not THE best ways to work from home is to work on the Web. The Web gives you access to customers around the world 24/7 regardless of where you are. Some people don't even have a computer and still can have an eBusiness making them money while they sleep! In later posts I will delve into various different business models that are perfect for the Web. But the reality is that whether you have an existing business or practice... or you want to start a business ... or you want to replace or enhance your income working from home, you can benefit from the Web.

Let me assure you, working from home is not easy. As with any business, to succeed you need to have and implement a plan and work at it. But if you want a REAL business, not a get rich quick falacy and you are willing to WORK at building your ebusiness by setting up your website, adding your own content and promote your business, SBI has all the the tools you need and teaches you how to use them!
